Drive strategic initiatives with enterprise impact

Lead and coordinate high-priority project workstreams connected to annual operating plan priorities and long-term growth objectives. You will help advance highly visible global programs, including Global Category Management at scale, the Global DSR Incentive Portal Channel AI tools, and other commercial capability and productivity initiatives that shape how 3M grows through the channel.

Help shape the future of 3M Partner Rewards

Play a key role in evolving 3M Partner Rewards into a stronger strategic growth platform. You will support enhancements that improve the distributor sales representative experience, increase adoption, strengthen operational effectiveness, and ensure the program continues to deliver measurable value for channel partners and 3M.

Turn insights into action

Use data to identify performance trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Translate insights into clear, practical recommendations that improve channel performance, commercial execution, and operational outcomes. You will build dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready materials that help leaders make faster, smarter, and more confident decisions.

Advance commercial excellence across the business

Support the execution of critical commercial excellence initiatives, including joint business planning, cross-sell programs, churn analysis, and new product introduction launches with channel partners. You will help build the structure, rhythm, and accountability needed to drive consistent execution across businesses, regions, and markets.

Connect teams and accelerate global alignment

Partner with division teams, channel leaders, marketing, supply chain, sales operations, and other stakeholders to align business plans, demand signals, investment priorities, and execution activities. Your ability to connect the dots, bring teams together, and drive clarity will be essential to delivering business results.

Build capabilities that strengthen channel performance

Coordinate key operational components of channel and distributor enablement programs, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder updates, and progress tracking. You will help ensure training and capability-building programs launch effectively, stay on track, and deliver against performance objectives.

Lead through influence in a complex, global environment

Work across multiple businesses, functions, and geographies to solve problems, remove barriers, and maintain momentum on strategic priorities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a matrixed environment, communicates with impact, collaborates effectively, and brings strong execution discipline to complex initiatives.

• This is a global role requiring collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of experience in business operations, sales, sales operations, marketing and portfolio management, analytics, supply chain, channel management in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• MBA or other relevant advanced degree from an accredited institution
• Experience managing complex programs in a global, matrixed environment
• Experience supporting industrial businesses, channel organizations, or commercial teams
• Experience in business planning, sales operations, commercial excellence, or operational leadership
• Demonstrated success leading projects with multiple stakeholders and interconnected workstreams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business insight capabilities
• Experience building dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level presentations
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across a matrixed organization
• Experience with continuous improvement, lean methods, or process simplification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with CRM platforms such as SFDC or similar tools

Work location: This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.
Travel: Up to 20% domestic/international
