As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Plan and recommend schedules for non-routine and non-emergency maintenance work to contribute to timely maintenance of equipment and effective utilization of maintenance work force.
- Review and analyze incoming work orders to identify materials, estimate craftsperson time, determine priorities, and other requirements for scheduling and completing the work.
- Inspect work site to identify special problems, safety issues, tool needs, or need for special instructions to provide for effective planning and scheduling of the job.
- Develop daily and weekly maintenance work schedules based on materials availability, priority of request(s), production considerations, and craftsperson time availability.
- Requisition materials not stocked or previously ordered to assure availability when needed for scheduled work orders.
- Ensure accuracy of shop work orders in the Maintenance Management System for accurate accounting and record keeping.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years maintenance experience and /or maintenance planner/scheduler experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Work location:
- Onsite Clinton, Tennessee
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic and international
Relocation Assistance: Not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
