Role Responsibility

Maintaining awareness of customer needs and industry trends and translate those into measurable specifications and test methods for product development and manufacturing.
Supporting successful NPI scale up and launch of new DEPP products with capacity, capability, and cost.
Using Lean, Six Sigma and Value stream tools to drive improvements.
Performing capability assessments and cost estimates for new opportunities.
Driving process development, recommend new equipment and modification to support cost improvements and new product introductions.
Providing manufacturing leadership and support for the local and global manufacturing of the division's products by driving critical to business cost, product yield, and customer quality projects.
Other duties as assigned.
The official internal job title will be APAC Business Supply Chain Engineer for DEPP.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) year of combined experience in manufacturing and/or product/process development in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred;
Technical experience in polymer film extrusion, web handling, microreplication, clean coating, lamination, slitting, rotary die converting, and/or punch press converting
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience on working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years on New Product Development and Commercialization Teams is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years on Quality Improvement and Cost Reduction projects is preferred
Experience with unit cost modeling
Experience leading or participating on cross functional teams
Strong oral and written communication skills in English

Work location: JinShan, China
Travel: May include up to 40% domestic/ International
Relocation Assistance: May be Authorized
Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Plant, Min. at least 4 days per week
Target Job Grade:T3 ~ T5 or equivalent
