• Collaborating with cross functional partners such as engineering, quality, production planning and plant engineering, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
• Leading and continually developing self and others at multiple levels of the organization through supervision, providing recognition, policy administration, continuous coaching for improvement and participation in hiring processes
• Representing the plant leadership team through driving initiatives across the site, including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call and serving as a primary plant management representative

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others and ability to influence higher levels of the organization.
• Understanding and experience leading Shingo principles and/or principle-based leadership
• Experience navigating multiple levels of tier management process; leading and coaching improvement projects (kaizens) and LSS Projects
• Five (5) years previous technical and/or supervisory experience
• Prior experience with Environmental Compliance, High-Hazard Analysis, Process Safety Analysis/Management, and Risk Assessment

• Knoxville, IA Plant

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
