Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Channel Management
- Achieve overall sales targets for the assigned territory (primary & secondary).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors to ensure alignment with 3M business goals.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-potential new distribution partners to expand market reach.
- Train distributor sales teams on product features, value propositions, and sales tools.
- Collaborate with marketing and service teams to support business priorities.
Sales Operations & Secondary Sales
- Drive secondary sales by implementing and supervising frontline sales infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth product movement from distributors to end customers through sell-out initiatives.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely collections and adherence to financial hygiene norms.
- Build accurate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and Operational Plans using data-driven insights.
- Execute category-wise strategies to meet individual product line growth targets.
- Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline on Salesforce (SFDC), from lead generation to closure.
Market Development
- Plan and execute BTL activities, including demand generation programs, merchandising, and in-store visibility.
- Drive community and institutional sales by engaging RWAs, housing societies, builders, and institutional buyers.
- Penetrate retail segments such as kitchen and bath dealers and influence key opinion leaders (architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, etc.).
Required Skills
- Strong technical understanding of water treatment or home appliance systems
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented and self-driven
- Strong channel management & sales operations capability
- Experience with pipeline management and CRM tools (preferably SFDC)
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing key accounts
- Distributor onboarding & capability-building
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making
Education Qualifications
- Graduate (Any discipline)
Preferred: MBA in Sales, Marketing, or relevant field
Experience Required
- Consumer appliances
- Consumer durables
- Water treatment industry
- Sanitaryware
- QSR / Food Service equipment segment
- Or similar category with field sales & channel management
