The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
At 3M’s Consumer Business Group (CBG), growth depends on translating strategy into execution that works consistently across markets. This role requires a distinct leadership profile: a marketer grounded in brand management who has developed deep expertise in communications and GTM execution. You must be equally comfortable interrogating and refining growth strategy, translating it into integrated campaigns, and building scalable systems that drive consistent results across regions.
As the Sr. Director, Global Integrated Marketing, you will lead the Consumer Experience (CX) function Globally, and will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Design globally scalable CX and GTM systems and drive their effective execution and performance across regions, including direct ownership in the lead market (USAC = US & Canada).
- Lead integrated demand generation in USAC (lead market)—owning national brand campaigns and orchestrating execution across media, shopper, and commercial teams.
- Translate portfolio strategy into globally reusable GTM components (channel roles, activation patterns, modular playbooks, learning agendas).
- Provide clarity on expectations, deliverables, and timelines to support effective in-market execution.
- Serve as a key interface between Global Marketing and Area teams.
- Own national brand demand generation strategy and execution in USAC.
- Lead integrated campaign development across media, digital, shopper, and retail activation.
- Partner closely with Brand, Shopper Marketing, and Sales to ensure cohesive execution across channels.
- Elevate GTM fluency across brand, media, shopper, and eCommerce teams.
- Develop playbooks, frameworks, and learning agendas to strengthen execution globally.
- Leverage insights and performance data to continuously improve GTM systems and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Twelve (12) years of experience in brand, integrated marketing, or GTM leadership roles a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of experience working across multiple regions in a global organization.
- Ten (10) years of experience in CPG or consumer-focused industries.
- Three (3) years of experience operating in a house-of-brands model.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in Business or Marketing from an accredited institution
- Proven track record of leading campaigns that drive measurable growth.
- Strong exposure to shopper marketing and retail/media integration.
- Track record of scaling capabilities or best practices globally.
- Brand-first operator who understands how growth strategies are built
- Comms expert who knows how to bring those strategies to life in-market
- Integrator who connects strategy, execution, and performance into a coherent system
- Pragmatic operator who designs approaches that work in the real world
Work location:
- Onsite: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
- Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
- Relocation: May be authorized
