  • Maintaining the accuracy of tax balances in the general ledger and supporting compliance with global accounting standards, tax policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborating with regional tax and finance teams to exchange relevant tax information and documentation, resolve issues, support audit activities, and assist with global tax reporting, including preparing supporting schedules for U.S. and non-U.S. entities.
  • Calculating, reviewing, and validating withholding tax obligations on cross-border payments while ensuring timely and accurate filings, payments, and reporting across global jurisdictions.
  • Supporting standardization, automation, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within tax and accounting processes.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Strong understanding of record to report processes and tax accounting under US GAAP
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, virtual, and cross-functional environment with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in shared service centers & exposure to global tax reporting processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Continuous improvement mindset; Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus
