The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Global Logistics Control Tower Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading global ocean and air import/export operations within the Global Control Tower.
  • Coordinating international shipments end to end to ensure on-time execution and fast issue resolution.
  • Partnering with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, plants, distribution centers, and internal teams to keep shipments moving smoothly.
  • Supporting strategic logistics projects, including visibility initiatives and digital tools such as FourKites.
  • Acting as a key logistics expert in shipment planning, booking, tracking, exception management, and service recovery.
  • Improving vendor coordination, shipment readiness, documentation quality, and transportation compliance.
  • Analyzing logistics performance and transportation data to identify opportunities to improve service, visibility, and cost.
  • Creating dashboards, KPI reports, process documentation, and standard procedures to strengthen operational execution.
  • Collaborating across procurement, planning, manufacturing, customer operations, and regional logistics teams to drive scalable solutions.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across international logistics operations and control tower governance.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, import/export operations, or supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience managing ocean and air transportation operations, including international inbound and outbound shipment execution.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, 3PLs, and cross-functional internal stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to support or lead logistics improvement initiatives and deliver results across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and complex international environment.

Job specifics:

  • EMEA role based in Wroclaw, Poland
  • Travel - May include up to 20% domestic/international
  • This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the designated 3M office
