Your responsibilities

  • Perform operations required in the dismantling, inspection, repairing, rebuilding, reconnecting, reassembly, testing and reporting on all forms of motorized wheelmotors. Both internally and at customer facilities
  • Act as Wheelmotor Lead in the absence of permanent Lead, and provide technical direction and oversight to all requirements within the Wheelmotor repair department
  • Properly applies and uses common electrical testing equipment and procedures. Reads and works from schematics and drawings
  • Performs other duties as assigned and may direct, or aid in the training of, lesser qualified personnel
  • Actively follows Environmental, Health and Safety​ (EHS) compliance guidelines, and actively contributes to the facility safety culture

Your background

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical and/or mechanical components and assemblies such as transformers, motors, generators, circuit breakers, transmissions, gear sets, or wheel motors
  • Must be able to read and interpret detailed mechanical and electrical prints and drawings
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to perform work duties with little to no guidance
  • Must have good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to travel as needed
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be familiar with and able to operate cranes related to heavy/large component movement
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other technicians properly
  • Demonstrated ability to lead other technicians
  • Demonstrated ability to properly operate cranes and rig load for safe movements
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Quality & EHS leaders in regard to their job functions
  • Self-starter
  • Willing to work long hours, weekends, and various shifts when needed
  • Willingly accepts job challenges
