In this role, you will generate and communicate detailed production schedules based on customer orders and production plans to maximize the use of resources while assuring operational goals and business objectives are met in Motion Drive Products in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Your responsibilities
- Production Schedule Generation: Responsible for reviewing and scheduling customer and stock orders monitor the generation and order execution of production orders generated via SAP MRP. Professionally and accurately create production plan(s) to ensure customer promised product lead times and on time delivery goals are achieved prior to order completion. Execute finish goods stock plan to achieve unit inventory turns while sustaining volume level. Create, communicate, and execute action plans to adjust production schedules accordingly when customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and/or inventory levels fluctuate
- Production Orders: Releases manufacturing work orders and/or monitors automated releases. Executes daily, plant-level materials requirement planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules. Ensures material, resources (machine and human), and engineering documentation, are availability in responsible production areas prior to production order release. Additionally ensure material and labor are correctly consumed by every order
- Customer Demand Focus: Participates in the integrated business planning process (IBP) to understand the long, medium, and short term customer demands and expectations. Act as the primary contact for production related issues and inquiries from sales, customer service, and product management, thus assuring accurate, consistent, communications on behalf of the production team(s). Participate and/or conduct daily production floor stand-up meetings with all relevant cross-functional teams
- Production Schedule Adherence: Monitors schedule adherence on a daily basis, performs root cause analysis for deviations and takes follow up improvement action. Investigates, gathers data, and then communicates the issues to other members of the operations team, including initial escalation to suppliers when appropriate. Follows up on escalations and ensures closure of issues. Proactively collaborates with production manager(s), supervisor(s) and other members of the operations teams to determine and recommend alternatives when demands exceed capacity. Strives to ensure adherence to customer expectations including but not limited to lead times, warranty directives, red carpet/ expedite service. Proactively repromises order delivery dates when other preferred methods of action do not yield desired results
- Reporting: Supports production manager(s) by generating, analyzing, and/or communicating various reports and production KPIs including but not limited to production lead times, on time deliveries (both committed and requested), warranty orders, red carpet orders/ expedite requests
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively evaluates and improves processes, Involved with continuous improvement activities and cross functional projects
- Product Life Cycle Management: Member of production implementation team and actively participate in Engineering Change Order meetings coordinating production impact and determining effective order implementation timing
- Health & safety: Reinforces and maintains a culture of health & safety. Reports safety hazards. Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business with 0 to 1 year of experience
- Working knowledge of manufacturing enterprise resource planning system (ERP) (SAP preferred) and Microsoft office software
- Self-motivated personality, detail-oriented, results focused
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to understand process relation between production and supply chain management
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems at tactical and functional level
- Working knowledge of supply chain and production activities
- Working knowledge of organization’s products, order delivery and manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of manufacturing enterprise resource planning system (ERP) and Microsoft office software
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
