As a Quality Specialist for Electrification business, you will be responsible for supporting the deployment of the quality strategy for a local ABB organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and even exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Reporting to QHSE Manager, you will be assisting the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response and sustainable solution to problems. This position is based in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the deployment of strategy, objectives and targets for quality management within local ABB organizational unit
• Assisting in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to the local organization or its quality management
• Promoting the vision for zero-defects and supporting the local teams to ensure that requirements from ABB, customers and stakeholders can be fulfilled, focusing on prevention rather than only control
• Supporting and maintains the quality management system (ISO9001) of the local unit in close collaboration with the local functions, including processes and tools to ensure flawless and repeatable product introduction, manufacturing and delivering quality, service or project execution, identification of gaps and potential for improvement
• Coordinating and participating in benchmarking activities within the industry, inside and outside ABB to continuously challenge the status quo and further develop the organizational self-perception
• Performing activities related to designated areas within quality: customer & claims management, manufacturing quality, quality planning, product safety & compliance, design & development quality, audits & reporting
• Utilizing the local quality management system to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
• Supporting the local organization by providing specific training material and training sessions

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, related field
• Require 3 years and above experience
• Certified or experience with ISO9001, and document control
• Good command of English language
• Good to have Electrical fundamental
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
