Join us as Logistics Executive for the Electrification Business Area where you will be developing and implementing logistics plans that optimize the use of resources while meeting customer requirements. Reporting to Procurement & Logistics Specialist and this position will be based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing logistics plans that optimize the use of resources while meeting customer requirements
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
• Negotiating contracts with transportation providers, warehousing companies, and other service providers
• Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Preparing reports on the status of projects and inventory levels. Performing any related procurement duties, assisting with logistics documentation/delivery tracking/receiving as requested by the line manager
• Managing the storage of goods in warehouse facilities, ensuring proper handling and security of products. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the efficient operation of the logistics department
• Coordinating the activities of inhouse warehouse & third-party logistics providers. Updating yourself on industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive
• Developing long-term strategies for the efficient and effective movement of goods and managing the budget for the logistics department

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in a logistics management role
• Proven track record of reducing costs and improving efficiency in a logistics operation
• In-depth knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Expertise in developing and implementing logistics strategies.Strong le Knowledge of international tariff coding and classification procedure
• Knowledge and experience with customs documentation and Knowledge on government related application
• Hands-on with tax exemptions related documentations (Schedule C, MIDA, & ETC)
• Good Communication Skills
