As a buyer / material planner, you will play a vital role in the procurement / inventory team for our Motion Traction division in Turgi. In this role you will support the business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures and by providing relevant market information.

Your responsibilities

• Purchasing of materials (stock, customer specific, project) according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms
• Responsible for inventory management in relation to defined inventory strategies and targets
• Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
• Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, order confirmation response) and resolving performance issues
• Being responsible for the entire procure to pay process within the organization
• Close collaboration with stakeholders (strategic procurement, production, project management)
• Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price

Your background

• Education in a production-related environment, further training in business administration is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational procurement tasks working as Buyer for electrical and mechanical products
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
• Deep Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office is a must
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong communication skills
• Fluent in German, good level in English
