Software Architect

You will be working as Software Architect, reporting to Digital Product Director and Enterprise Architect for Process Automation business, Process Automation Digital solutions division based in Mumbai, India. You will be responsible for architecting and designing robust, scalable and secure end-to-end IoT solutions that align with business objectives.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for integrating IoT devices, sensors, gateways, cloud services and data platforms using various protocols and standards, such as MQTT, REST, OPC UA, HTTP’s, PROFINET
• Implementing security measures at both device and network levels to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of IoT data
• Integrating IoT solutions with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure IoT) for data storage, analytics and visualization
• Troubleshooting and optimizing IoT systems for reliability, scalability, security and efficiency
• Evaluating new IoT technologies and trends and providing best practices for IoT development
• Providing technical guidance and supporting to other developers and engineers on IoT-related issues and challenges

Your background

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Minimum 15 years of experience in related field
• Proven experience as an IoT Architect with a focus on .NET programming and ability to design and implement scalable and efficient IoT architectures with a specific focus on edge computing
• Proficiency in designing and implementing edge computing solutions for processing data locally and optimizing bandwidth usage in IoT networks
• Hands-on experience with the integration of edge gateways, managing communication between IoT devices at the edge and the central cloud gateway
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, .NET Core, and familiarity with ASP.NET for web-based IoT applications and experience with IoT protocols (MQTT, AQMP, CoAP, HTTP) and communication technologies
