Electrical Technical Sales Support Engineer for Monterrey, N.L. Mexico

Your role and responsibilities

Provide technical support for electrical distribution and control products found in the BuyLog and Control Catalog. Provide technical support for ABB electrical distribution and control products. Promote ABB Sales opportunities by providing timely competitor-to-ABB product cross-reference support. Assist customers and sales with accurate product selection for the intended application use (form, fit, and function). Respond promptly to requests for installation documentation, product drawings and publications. Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone and email. Interact with Technology (R&D), Supply Chain (factory) and Product Management to provide technical and commercial solutions for customers.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years with ABB and GE and in depth knowledge of ABB and GE and competitor residential, distribution, and control products, including load centers, transformers, modular metering, industrial breakers, panel boards, motor control, pushbuttons, safety switches, drives, Automatic Transfer Switches and programming MODBUS.
  • Electrical distribution experience.
  • Engineering background.
  • Residency or relocation to Monterrey, N.L. Mexico is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate in English with US Customers via the phone and email.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with case backlog (desirable).
