ELECTRICAL Technical Sales Support Lead

This position reports to

EL Sales Support Mgr.-Commercial Operat.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations. The work model for the role is: #L-Hybrid This role is contributing to provide timely technical support to ABB Sales, ABB Distributors, Specification Engineers, Contractors, and End Users. You will be mainly accountable for: • Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB’s products/systems/applications. • Overseeing and leading the analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs. • Proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries. • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations on complex product issues, to both internal staff and customers.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Minimum of 5 years in depth knowledge of Electrical Distribution products, residential, distribution, and control products, including load centers, transformers, modular metering, industrial breakers, panel boards, motor control, pushbuttons, safety switches, drives, Automatic Transfer Switches and programming MODBUS.
  • Ability to read and interpret elementary and control drawings.
  • Strong team orientation and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with case backlog.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate in English with US Customers via the phone and email.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively integrate into team matrix / organization, including working with cross-cultural teams
