Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective (business area/division/product group) digital sales strategy within the specified market scope (global/regional) and maintain it, to improve ABB’s market penetration. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (such as other Sales Managers and Specialists within your scope) to achieve the sales targets, maintaining a high performance. The work model for the role is hybrid. You will be mainly accountable for: • Participating in the negotiation of key/strategic contracts. • Identifying, monitoring, and maintaining/exceeding the sales market price levels, after evaluating the pricing impact on the results with the Product Management team. • Supporting local Sales organizations to ensure the achievement of sales volume and product mix targets. • Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. • Identifies and manages potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels. • Develops, implements, and reviews sales processes and tools, and the related training and development activities. • Ensures adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope. • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. • Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in channel management, sales, or business development.
- Proven track record of managing sales channels and partner relationships.
- Strong ability to drive sales through channels, negotiate terms, and close deals.
- Excellent skills in building and maintaining relationships with partners and distributors.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for channel growth and development.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, channel performance, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Advanced English.
