Your role and responsibilities
As a Strategy Director, IBC (Industry Building Channel), you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit. You will promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement, participate in the initiative to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also deploy and lead projects & cadences to improve and sustain local business performance. The work model for the role is remote - there is potential to work anywhere in the U.S. (Li-Remote) This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division. You will be mainly accountable for: • Own, manage and drive all programs and cadences that support the Commercial Organization as well as support the deployment of strategy and objectives for continuous improvement at a local organizational level. • Drives ABB employee/iREP Excellence through various initiatives, participate in org structure and strategy optimization enhancements, and ensure the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy. • Facilitate significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership. • Track programs, initiatives, projects, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate progress and value, enabling decision-makers to allocate resources and recognize success, while also driving the systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Engineering or High School Diploma with relevant experience
- 12 years of relevant experience (sales and industry experience preferred)
- Previous Key Account Management experience or strategic experience at the national level is preferred
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
