R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

We are glad to offer a challenging and exciting master thesis project at ABB Robotics, a leading supplier of industrial robots and robot software, equipment and complete application solutions. You will be a part of the Software group in Mölndal, where we work with the development of RobotStudio, a desktop application used for modelling, simulation and offline programming of ABB robots. Content design is an important part of the product design process. The words and language users encounter as they interact with a product or software is a crucial part of the total user experience. Content design is, first and foremost, about creating copy and messaging that guides the user within the context, helping them to navigate an interface and efficiently complete their desired tasks. In complex software like robotic applications, it becomes even more important to support users and communicate with them in a clear and efficient way. UX writing is all about using words instead of pixels to communicate with users throughout the experience. The task is to investigate how AI can be used to support and enhance the content creation process for robotics software. Defining a workflow that enables designers and other project members to create good copy for a digital environment that is consistent, demonstrates brand identity and communicates information to ensure a great user experience.
