Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory including sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice; support internal customer service inquiries; set inventory parameters (MRP), support organization in reaching inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, inventory and forecast accuracy supported by lean tools whenever applicable and collaboration with the different stakeholders in the end-to-end Supply Chain. You will report to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions Division within Electrification Business Area in Dalmine (BG). You will be mainly accountable for: • Calculate and maintain in the planning systems and the ERPs the inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies • Collaborate with Buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead-time, and flexibility. • Manage MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis; support cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting. • Conducts financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducts root case analysis when necessary • Analyze excess and obsolete/aging inventory; take appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and Procurement and Logistics. • Release purchase orders, addresses Material Requirement Planner (MRP) action messages, expedite parts and manage quick ship request, communicate and expedite material issues. • Be responsible for stock profile and segments the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy, defining inventory policies according to this segmentation.

Qualifications for the role

  • Master Degree in Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular on Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools (Power BI or similar) are considered a plus.
  • You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • You are creative, innovative and digitally smart;
  • You have ownership and problem solving attitude, result oriented;
  • You have teamwork attitude, good communication skills and courage complete the profile.
