Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support in all financial and commercial matters on projects from controlling and operational perspective. Each day, you will actively drive their respective project’s performance by working closely with project management team on organizing and coordinating on a daily activity related to customer & vendor invoicing/documents/project KPI’s / Cost monitoring /Forecasting etc. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting) documents. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Business covering SEA Countries being based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Driving revenues and project cash flow in your assigned project and seeking for optimization. • Responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast. • Partnering with other business stakeholders such as bids and supply chain management in daily financial advise. • Overseeing currency risk in project cash flow and implementing/suggesting appropriate mitigation measures. • Supporting in coordinating and preparing project reviews, cost reports, claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases. • Assisting the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, and in ensuring adherence to ABB’s corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives and instructions. • Developing relevant dashboards & KPI’s for projects to ensure adequate compliance and reporting structure to senior managers in the organization.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of years of experience in Project Finance, Controlling and accounting.
- Experience in financial project control, with a track record of successfully managing projects.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
