Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will develop Technical/Commercial Proposals for Power Protection products and solutions. Proposal requests may include, but not necessarily be limited to, opportunities located in North America & US Based Cross Pole Transactions. This will require an in depth understanding of ABB’S Power Protection product offering and potential solutions. The work model for the role is: remote (Li-Remote); there is flexibility in the living location, but the preferred locations are Richmond, VA and Dallas, TX. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division. You will be mainly accountable for: • Develop timely, comprehensive and professional STS & PDU proposals with key metrics of proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate and profitability • Interpret Drawings, Data Sheets and Specifications to understand and adhere to design intent • Develop/Maintain relationships and aggressively negotiate with key vendor partners and internal ABB factories • Interface closely with Sales Managers, Reps, Commercial Operations & Strategic Customers (as required) to develop understanding of CTQ's of opportunity and to provide executable proposals
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in a contract negotiation or sales role).
- Minimum 5+ years of previous project quotations experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in the electrical distribution industry.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
