Your role and responsibilities
As the Account Manager focusing on Single, Family, Electrical Residential products, you will have the opportunity to join a growing team to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies. Will work to position our ReliaHome and ReliaMod product lines for continued growth and success. This role will focus on growing the residential product portfolio across the state of Florida. This role is open to candidates located in Florida (#LI-Remote), with a preference for those around our major metropolitan customer centers. You will be mainly accountable for: - Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work growth actions. - Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB. - Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer. - Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 8 years of relevant applicable experience or equivalent.
- Must have previous sales experience identifying, capturing, and supporting new business, preferably in the residential space.
- Travel required is mostly within the state of residency, likely 50%.
- Established relationships with the electrical contractors and channel partners in the assigned territory, and ability to grow contacts within assigned accounts is highly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment.
- Experience with sales CRM or Salesforce.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
