Your role and responsibilities

Join a Forbes Top Employer as a Testing and Verification Specialist! Are you ready to take on a pivotal role where your technical skills will shine? As a Testing and Verification Specialist, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to lead testing and verification activities for a variety of systems, subsystems, and products. Each day, you’ll be at the forefront, providing essential technical support during the installation of test objects in our state-of-the-art test area. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing comprehensive project test documentation, showcasing your attention to detail and commitment to excellence. The work model for the role is onsite in onsite. You will be mainly accountable for: Execute Testing & Documentation: Conduct tests according to schedule, prepare project test documentation, and provide technical support during installation. Customer & Sales Support: Ensure type tests and inspections meet contractual obligations, support other functions during testing and validation, and assist the sales team with test requirements. Supervision & Knowledge Sharing: Supervise Associate Test Engineers, maintain a network of engineering professionals, and share best practices across projects. Process & Tool Efficiency: Use standard processes and tools, report inefficiencies, and follow work plans and cost estimates to ensure quality and timely implementation. Risk Management & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, report issues to management, ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and contractual requirements, and maintain test reports and certificates. Collaboration & Feedback: Collaborate with testing agencies, suppliers, and the supply chain function to support testing activities, and provide feedback for the design process from a testing perspective.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Computer Science or Mechatronic will also be accepted.
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in Software development projects preferred.
  • Experience in PLC programming languages preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues in control systems.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
