Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Technical Specialist for Mobile Telephony to join our IS Services team at ABB Oy in Vaasa, Finland. In this role you will manage all support activities related to Mobile Telephony Services in Finland. Your role will cover a wide range of tasks from user support and incident resolution to supplier relationship management . You will manage the request fulfilment process related to Mobile Telephony Services, focusing on consumer experience and Cost-to-Serve Optimization activities to reduce operating costs. You will be mainly accountable for: •Working closely with suppliers providing a part, or even completely, the service •Engaging proactively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance, and implementing supplier management related service improvement initiatives and programs •Monitoring and reporting on supplier performance and customer satisfaction, as well as validating that suppliers’ performance is in accordance with contract terms •Supporting users and managing user incidents and requests

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical IS capabilities and solutions; enthusiasm for improving the Mobile Telephony experience
  • Experience working with mobile (telephony) services, preferably in an industrial/corporate setting
  • At least a B.Sc. in a suitable field, such as IT, Computer Science, Telematics, Telecommunications or Business Administration
  • Working proficiency in both Finnish and English is required in this role (other language skills are a benefit) as well as strong and effective communication skills
  • Understanding and preferably experience in managing vendor relationships and driving vendor performance
  • Ability to manage simultaneous support and incident requests
  • This role requires a customer focused mindset; you are a team player and able to work collaboratively and through others
