Your role and responsibilities
Abou the role: As the Division Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide proactive expert legal advice in a complex field of law. You will serve as a strategic business partner, focusing on quality, customer satisfaction, and the company's best interests. Working independently and with a risk management and integrity-oriented mindset, you will leverage a network of international lawyers to achieve ELSP goals. You will collaborate effectively with local and corporate teams and support both M&A and Integrity activities. Your responsibilities: - Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of issues including contract law, anti-trust, public procurement, product safety, and trade compliance. Manage disputes and litigation, and develop proactive legal strategies. - Participate in risk assessments and provide legal recommendations, supporting public tenders and special projects. - Ensure full implementation of ABAC (Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption) policies and trade compliance rules within the Division. - Support and lead integrity initiatives, including training and Integrity workplan activities, with a focus on antitrust law and support Integrity risk analysis and execution of the Division Integrity workplan. - Oversee management of claims related to product quality, safety, liability, and warranties. Develop protocols for handling product safety issues. - Support in M&A projects by liaising between corporate M&A legal team and ELSP, managing due diligence, and ensuring L&I integration of acquired businesses. - Create and update contract templates, and support negotiation of global frame agreements and drafting of various agreements. - Enhance legal processes, due diligence, and training, staying updated on legal developments and risks among different jurisdictions.
Qualifications for the role
- Your Background:
- 8-10 years of experience in multinational companies, working as legal & integrity counsel
- Sound knowledge of and previous experience in energy/industrial market
- Knowledge of legal tools such as ONIT and Risk review database
- Collaborative individual with independent decision-making ability, risk management mindset
- Law Degree; Bar Admission and law firm experience.
- Perfectly fluent in spoken and written English
- Location: preferably EMEA
