Your role and responsibilities
The Facilities Manager will coordinate with internal ABB stake holders, JLL Facilities support team, Third Party Logistics Provider, and ABB Real Estate to ensure we have the appropriate facility resources across a multi-site operation. There will be a focus on both the current and future needs to support the best customer and workplace experience. You should bring a reputation for influence across all levels, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively prioritize your time, and demonstrate a sense of urgency when needed. Understanding of the financial model for the site as approved, and managing any costs aligned with budget, are critical. The Facility Manager will ensure our sites are maintained and remain a professional, safe and clean place of work for employees. The work model for the role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • Project Management - Prepare budgeting and pricing outlines to be presented to leadership. Develop and update project schedules, Lead regular stakeholder report outs and up-dates; Data Gathering and Analysis - Gather employee workplace requirements for next 5 years, secure internal approvals, lead vendor selection, and contract negotiations and management. • Stakeholder Engagement- Build own knowledge of the cross-functional strategic initiatives that fundamentally impact our various production, warehouses/distribution center, repair work shops, and lab environments, covering expansion/growth, technology roll outs/upgrades, and process improvement; Projects and Commercial Construction- Work with initiatives associated with current and new construction, renovations, and tenant improvement projects from conception to recommendation, including strategy, SOW development, RFP management, and proposal options. Ensure safety during project/construction work and that ABB safety standards are met. • Standards and Brand- Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Group to ensure all locations are built to allow for safe and compliant facility, including applicable emergency response and business continuity. Ensure the implementation of the brand standards in all new spaces, ensuring that all offices have consistent and seamless operating abilities; Oversee the JLL Facilities Support team to ensure optimum performance of building systems, development and execution of preventive maintenance plans, site security, and strong contractor safety performance. • Sustainability – maintain carbon neutral site and drive energy and waste reduction activities. Monitor the site building management system, analyzing building performance and trends, ensure geothermal and solar systems are running optimally. Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor degree plus 5 years experience in facility management OR Associate degree plus 7 years experience OR high school diploma/GED plus 9 years related experience; degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field a plus.
- 2+ years experience in facility management related field including budgeting, planning, timeline management, implementation, construction and all elements of execution.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
