Product Engineering & Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. The work model for the role is hybrid. Onsite work will be required most days, specifically early on learning about the role/products. This role is contributing to the Motion System Drives division in New Berlin, WI. You will be mainly accountable for: • Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work. • Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them. • Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them. • Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development. Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years’ experience is required. Experience in an industrial equipment and manufacturing environment will be a plus.
- Strong experience with SAP, particularly in product structure management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Power BI experience will be a plus.
- Experience with inverters or similar power conversion equipment, electrical enclosures, or manufacturing of electrical products preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Must have problem-solving and change management/facilitation skills. Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
