Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and execute tests on different products in various testing laboratories using standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will work independently by applying established standards, and instruct or coach other professionals. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power division in Bangalore, India. You will be mainly accountable for: • Plan, design, and execute, software/firmware testing on embedded electronics platforms. • Develop new and revamp existing software/firmware test procedures and maintain those procedures. • Maintain the test case / test plan database. • Support new product development test programs and product lifecycle verification and validation initiatives. • Analyzes test results and prepares test reports in partnership with the research and development teams. • Provides test fixture development and lifecycle support for the research and development team. • Provide software and firmware support for laboratory test equipment.

Qualifications for the role

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering (or similar)
• 8+ years of experience in embedded firmware or software working as a test or development engineer with embedded systems preferably in Power domain.
• Hands-on experience with software/firmware testing, validation, test automation and debugging tools.
• Experience in Test management iAzure DevOps platform or similar a plus.
• Experience in Power Quality Analysis, Metering, Power Electronics is a plus.
• Experience with RS-485, RS-232, Modbus, and similar communications protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
