Your role and responsibilities

In connection with the expansion of our business we are looking for candidates for the position of Team Leader – Local Control Engineering. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled control engineers. You need to align on plans, assign resources to meet the agreed targets. Initiate, coordinate, drive and oversee team development and continuous improvement of processes to strengthen the Engineering capability. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Leading the power electronics team in technical and non-technical aspects, coaching and supporting team members to utilize their full potential, introduction of new members to the team • Coaching and supporting the team members to utilize their full potential concerning processes, tools, and templates • Ensuring continuous resource planning and adequate staffing of projects to deliver high quality results on time and identifying and driving continuous improvements within the team and the department • Establishing and maintaining close collaboration with other engineering, R&D, Service and production teams locally and globally to drive standardization and improvement of control software engineering process • Executing and/or supporting selected customer projects personally and support the product management for technical concepts during sales phase as well as preparing adequate cost estimations for Power Engineering efforts

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical engineering, preferably with focus on power electronics software
• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment covering roles in engineering and/or R&D
• Expertise in power electronic converters or variable frequency drives with knowledge of the railway applications being a significant advantage
• Leadership experience (e.g. team leader, project manager) is an advantage
• Ability to solve problems quickly, analytical skills, openness, quick learner, strong communicator
• Experience in working in an international environment and readiness for business trips (domestic and foreign), driver's license (cat. B)
• Excellent communication skills, both English and German
• Knowledge of PLM software and E3 as electrical CAD is an advantage
