Your role and responsibilities

In this role, The IT Asset Management Specialist is to optimize GBS IS asset usage, minimize costs, support charge-out transparency and ensures asset compliance by applying the standardized asset data model, defined principles, policies and processes. The IT Asset Management Specialist has a strong financial and compliance focus to prevent ABB from financials penalties and loss of reputation. The work model for the role is #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the IS Services in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: - Supports definition of principles, policies and processes needed to optimize asset usage, minimize costs, support charge-out transparency, and ensure asset compliance. - Responsible for the implementation and control of database changes and asset discovery tools, to ensure data is accurate and sufficient for purpose of asset optimization and compliance assurance. - Operationalises and automates activities for efficient and timely production of data visuals. - Responsible for and ensures data consistency by cross-checking and aligning multiple databases/sources. - Ensuring asset controllers, infrastructure teams and the business co-ordinate and optimise value, maintain control and maintain appropriate legal compliance. - Supports IT Software Asset Management toll roll-out and configuration. - Provides advice on the transformation of data/information from one tool, format to another.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least 5 years’ working with enterprise asset management tools (Flexera, SCCM, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, HP Asset Manager etc.), are desirable
• Target experienced and certified ITAM SME. Experience in using Service Now, Flexera, Nexthink, Qualys and similar tools.
• Proven ability to work in a distributed team.
• Self starter willing to grow
