Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of an individual product and service budget of £1.5M, with the responsibility of selling range of Process and Continuous Gas Analyser products, along with related service contracts. You will be focused specifically on PGA-related products, systems, and service solutions, covering the South of the UK. Reporting to the PGA Sales Team Manager, you'll be a key player within the Measurement & Analytics Front-End Sales Team for UK & Ireland. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding environment where you can make a real impact on both the business and your professional growth. The work model for the role is: home-based from anywhere in the South of England, South Wales or Midlands {#LI-remote} You will be mainly accountable for: • Expand existing business by investigating new and existing market potential, thus developing the sector to ensure long term growth of order income. Specifically the focus will be on Power & Selected Industrial related industries in the South of the United Kingdom. Accounts specifically will be key strategic accounts (end customers, contactors, OEM’s etc.) • “Team Work” with other ABB sales and service personnel, feeder factories and Partner companies to maximise the total order potential for the company. • Maintain close working relations with other ABB Business Units, in particular ABB, Control systems, Power section and engineering services divisions • Provide technical, commercial and application support and assistance to new and existing customers. • Obtain enquires and manage quotations, and assist in the preparation of tenders alongside the Projects Proposals / Service team. • Prepare product/customer budgets for the area and develop a business plan to achieve them. • Submit a monthly order forecast and maintain a live prospect list. • Update and maintain ABB project pursuit tools and customer information databases -Sales Force CRM • Monitor and provide market intelligence on current trends and competitor activity.
Qualifications for the role
- Minimum of HNC Electrical /Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience
- Proven experience of selling instrumentation into Process Industry
- Track record in strategic /value based selling
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good account management techniques
- Collaborative and team-oriented
