Your role and responsibilities

In this home-based role in either the UK or Ireland, as Content and Campaigns Specialist, you will work as part of Process Industries' global Communications and Marketing team. You will be responsible for creating, driving and optimizing content on ABB’s external channels and support Division campaigns. You will communicate and cooperate with seven different Business Lines within the Division and your work will influence key stakeholders, customers and internal teams. This position requires an organized mind with creative thinking and strong writing skills. You will consider strategy and customer impacts with a data-driven approach. You will have regular interactions with colleagues in industries including pulp and paper, mining, metals, cement, battery, hydrogen, food and beverage and data centers. You will further be accountable for: Content Creation • Develop and nurture external content for use on ABB channels, including ABB.com, Inside + and LinkedIn, often repurposing from recently published materials. • Work with storytelling writers from agencies to create new content from interviews with ABB leaders and experts. • Support Business Lines to repurpose content or marketing collateral for LinkedIn posts. Campaign Support • Plan and deliver external content for Division or Business Line campaigns, ensuring visibility and engagement across multiple channels, ABB-owned, social media or event/conference-owned. • Work with global and local communications teams to ensure ABB is well-represented at customer-facing events, webinars or panels, developing guidelines and processes to help ABB attendees (communications, sales, leadership). • Establish tools and processes to effectively monitor and analyze campaign performance, making anecdotal and data-driven adjustments over time to improve future effectiveness. Social Media Management • Establish a calendar of social media planning across various channels. • Support Business Lines to plan and execute social media posts, in line with external campaigns or marketing initiatives. • Evaluate success using pre-agreed metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Review impacts on communication and customer awareness.

Qualifications for the role

  • Communications, content or campaign development expertise, ideally in customer-facing or external events environments - essential
  • Completion of a college or university degree in a related field, or completion of an on-the-job modern apprenticeship - essential
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines - essential
  • Availability of examples of your work to date/portfolio of recent wins or highlights- essential
  • Excellent communications skills, including planning, writing, editing, and proofreading. Ability to craft copy incorporating company messages in a genuine way - essential
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop through self-learning, reading or through training (externally or at ABB) - essential
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys on digital platforms, SEO and analytics - essential
  • Proven experience in a large organization, preferably in the industrial sector - desirable
  • Familiarity with heavy industries, advanced technologies, automation, electrification, digitalization or industrial software - desirable
  • Real-world experience of working with specialists/experts in their field, conversing/interviewing them face to face - desirable
  • B2B experience or the swift ability to convert B2C background into the industrial world, where ABB relies on business and sales interactions - desirable
  • Familiarity with software used by marketing communications professionals; content/web management systems, Hootsuite, Microsoft suite of tools and analytics tools, Google dashboards and analytics, Salesforce tools - desirable
