Your role and responsibilities
As the Market Development Representative within the Measurement & Analytics Division, you will be instrumental in driving the early stage of the sales cycle by engaging and qualifying leads generated from marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure qualified leads are accurately assigned, followed up on, and effectively supported through the conversion process. You will also ensure the entire lead journey is thoroughly tracked, documented and reported in Salesforce. You will work in diverse and multi-lingual markets with large geographic coverage, with cross business teams and communication functions, collaborating and aligning with Process Automation Business Area and ABB Group communications strategy and digital teams. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Measurement and Analytics division in Process Automation business based out in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: • Engaging with marketing-generated leads to assess interest, qualify potential, and gather key information using defined criteria such as BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing), be-fore a smooth handoff to the sales team. • Adhering to the division’s lead management process, close alignment across marketing and sales, and actively propose improvements to enhance the process. • Supporting lead nurturing, lead scoring and lead activation to enhance the results of marketing programs. • Driving lead follow-ups — respond to inquiries from call, websites and marketing activities, schedule demos and meetings to assist sales process and maintaining accurate tracking of lead activity, status, and conversion in Salesforce. • Identifying markets opportunities, target accounts, and key contacts, while maintaining a high-level of our solutions and competitive landscape, to expand database of prospects. • Being a Champion the use of Salesforce and support stakeholders in its effective application and providing regular updates to marketing and sales teams on lead performance, opportunities, trends and challenges.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelors or Masters in any specialization from a reputed university
- At least 5 years of experience in a lead prospecting role, driving new leads and assisting sales growth.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and preferably Marketing Automation systems such as Pardot (Salesforce Account Engagement).
- Experience in prospecting via phone, social media and email, using social selling and digital marketing concepts and in understanding B2B technical concepts and communicating its value proposition.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills and a support-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English, additional languages will be a plus.
