Your role and responsibilities
Join our team as a Global Business Line Procurement Manager. In this role, you will set business line strategies in line with the reference organization, lead and implement procurement activities and best practices across the organization in alignment with division supply chain organization. You will lead, in dotted line, a team of procurement specialists to execute purchasing strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You will also ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid The role is contributing to the Motion / System Drives division globally. Main stakeholders are Project Tendering, Category Managers, Supply Chain and Tendering Technology teams. You will be mainly accountable for: • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management; Define and execute sourcing strategies, optimize supplier selection and performance, conduct audits, and ensure capability to meet current and future business needs. • Process Alignment & Compliance; Oversee procurement activities, ensure strategy execution across business lines, manage budgeting and reporting, and uphold ABB’s core values, ethics, and compliance standards. • Collaboration & Leadership; Facilitate cross-functional engagement, drive alignment with key stakeholders, coach teams for professional development, and promote collaboration across divisions and business areas. • Technology & Continuous Improvement; Utilize SAP Ariba and other platforms to enhance procurement efficiency, implement cost, quality, and delivery improvements, and support sustainability and business ethics initiatives.
Qualifications for the role
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain Management / Procurement position.
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience in project-based supply chain management is required.
- Knowledge of power electrical equipment (transformers, motors, drives, etc.) is an advantage.
- Experience in managing complex projects, ability to orchestrate and coordinate different stakeholders.
- Great communication skills, ability to communicate across different functions and levels within the organization.
- Fluent English language skills.
