This Position reports to:

IS Service Owner for Application Securit

In this role, you will have the opportunity to successfully develop and implement security measures for ABB in your area of responsibility. Each day, you will protect ABB from rapidly escalating threats. You will also showcase your expertise by staying vigilant in combating security threats, taking charge of the organization’s cybersecurity, and keeping track of existing security infrastructure to ensure systems that protect vital information are secured.

This role is contributing to the IS Services in India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Explains the purpose of and provides advice and guidance on the application and operation of elementary procedural and technical security controls. Performs vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis for medium complexity information systems.
• Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
• Prioritises and diagnoses incidents on TRM tools according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
• Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies to evaluate the potential impacts, threats and opportunities to the organisation. Contributes to the creation of reports, technology roadmapping and the sharing of knowledge and insights.
• Applies tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items. Verifies and approves changes ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorised change, diversion and inappropriate use. Ensures that users comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, ifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates. Performs audits to check the accuracy of information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level with IT focus.
• Requires minimum 6 years of experience combined with Information Security and Data Analysis.
• Security Certification on QualysGuard, PaloAlto Cortex XPANSE and relevant vulnerability assessment tools.
• Experience with patch management processes and products
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys suite desired, BURP, Nessus, NMAP) - Strong background and understanding of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
