Your role and responsibilities

You will be working as Design Engineer and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Building division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Product Manager and will be responsible for supporting the local sales organization or customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification business area for Smart Building division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Advise and provide comments on enquiry specifications for customers, channels, and sales engineers regarding ABB products, systems, and applications.

• Provide technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.

• Perform analytical and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solutions for customer needs.

• Propose technical solutions for complex enquiries, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and ABB standards.

• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for internal teams and customers, and prepare technical articles for publication.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

• Extensive technical knowledge of products, systems, and applications relevant to the industry.

• Skilled in technical presentations and demonstrations for internal teams and customers.

• Good in diagnosing problems and providing effective, practical solutions to customer issues.

• Willingness to travel within India for customer support, site visits, and technical meetings.

• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer and team interactions.
