In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your knowledge by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business in Energy industries division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Manage the productization and lifecycle management of PAEN standard cabinets, ensuring alignment with global requirements.
- Develop and maintain standardized cabinet designs, documentation, and global pricing in co-ordination with supply chain and manufacturing.
- Act as the subject matter expert and technical liaison for HUBs, LDLs, and sales teams, gathering feedback and future requirements.
- Drive deployment of standardized cabinets across projects to lead to cost savings and quality improvements.
- Support the development and integration of engineering tools to enhance design efficiency and reduce testing time.
- Monitor project KPIs and maintain accurate cost estimation models for tendering and engineering.
- Conduct training, webinars, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote adoption of standard cabinets.
- Track and report progress on cabinet standardization initiatives, setting KPIs to measure deployment effectiveness and efficiency gains.
Qualifications for the role
- Experience with ABB 800xA system and Symphony Plus.
- Extensive (12+ years) experience in engineering Integrated Control & Safety Systems, particularly in industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refining, Power & Water. Specialization in Hardware Engineering.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience in using EBase Engineering Tools.
- Solid understanding of ABB’s engineering processes and tools.
- Familiarity with intracompany commercial and logistics processes (especially within ABB units).
- Global Exposure: Experience working in international environments with diverse cultures and managing stakeholders at various levels.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally when required.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering.
