Your role and responsibilities

In this role as a Project Engineering professional, you will have the opportunity to be a design support for an automation engineering discipline for our Process Automation business area, in their Process Industries division. Each day, you will complete assignments on one or multiple projects of moderate size or portions of projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

You will be mainly accountable for

• Involved in constructing control applications using DCS (Distributed Control System) 800xA tools, including the installation and configuration of the 800xA platform and basic networking configurations related to control system architecture.
• Collaborating with customers to shape and deliver solutions, while actively seeking their feedback for continuous improvement.
• Developing work plans and cost estimates for a portfolio of projects, ensuring their quality and timely completion within the targeted budget.
• Coordinating with relevant departments to guarantee that designs are properly manufactured, staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Mentoring engineering colleagues on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation, incorporating best practices, and applying lessons learned from past projects.

Qualifications for the role

• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in similar roles within the Mining and Pulp & Paper industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in the 800xA Distributed Control System (DCS), AC800M, Control Builder, Minerals Process Control Library, various industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP), and networking (including switch configuration and VLANs).
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to team success through strong collaboration skills, innovation, initiative, and shared leadership.
• Effective communicator in English, comfortable engaging in technical and cross-functional discussions in diverse environments.
• Willing and able to travel in accordance with project requirements.
