Your role and responsibilities
Bergamo, Italy, is an important location for ABB’s Smart Power division. As the Communications Specialist for the Smart Power site in Bergamo, Italy, you will be responsible for all communication activities, from organizing employee events and VIP visits, to leading stand-out campaigns from concept to delivery. You will be partnering with HR and other key stakeholders locally, and act as the point of contact for all communication initiatives on site. We are looking for a hands-on communications specialist to join a dynamic, versatile team, somebody who can dive in and deliver. A strategic thinker, able to partner with all levels of management and multiple stakeholders concurrently. Proactive, result-oriented with strong networking and organizational skills; keen attention to details and shown ability to work on several projects concurrently, as well as to prioritize as necessary.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Partner with local management and key local stakeholders to define the annual communications plan for the Bergamo site.
Work cross-functionally across teams in close partnership with Human Resources, facility management, Communications (local and global) and other functions to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
Prepare content and strategic communication plans for internal programs and stand-out campaigns on site (HR, CSR, safety, sustainability, integrity).
Organize employee and VIP events as needed.
Make sure all branding initiatives on site align with ABB Group.
Develop and author a variety of internal and executive communications including talking points, presentations, and announcements.
Leverage existing channels and consider new ones to drive innovation in employee engagement and communications for office-based employees.
Partner with the division and local country Comms to ensure alignment and consistency of the messages. Provide communications support to site leaders when they are representing ABB in the community with local stakeholders (i.e. local universities, etc.)
Qualifications for the role
Degree in Communications or related discipline.
You have 5 to 7 years of experience in employee communications.
You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.
You possess excellent written communication, editing and presentation skills.
You have a solid experience in cross functional communications with proven collaboration skills. You're a good team player with the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders concurrently.
Possessing enhanced knowledge in HR Comms and in event management will be considered a plus.
