The R&D Quality Officer for an R&D testing is responsible for ensuring that all research and development activities comply with quality standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role involves developing and implementing quality and HSE management systems, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
The work model for the role is: #L1-Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Smart Power Division in Hyderabad, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Quality Management Systems (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain QMS; review and update quality policies and procedures.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management: Develop and implement HSE policies; conduct risk assessments; ensure regulatory compliance.
Documentation and Reporting: Manage documentation for quality and HSE processes; maintain accurate records.
Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal audits; coordinate with external auditors.
Training and Development: Train staff in quality and HSE processes; develop training materials.
Continuous Improvement and Emergency Preparedness: Identify and implement process improvements; develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
Qualifications for the role :
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering; certifications in quality management and HSE principles.
Experience: 15 years of industry experience, including 2-3 years in quality assurance or HSE roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality and HSE management systems; familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025, OSHA).
