This Position reports to:
Global Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite.
This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries based in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Ensure Bid Process Compliance & Documentation: Manage end-to-end bid process, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and timely delivery of high-quality bid documentation.
- Develop Technical & Commercial Solutions: Design optimal technical solutions tailored to customer needs, and support the preparation of competitive offers in collaboration with Sales and Business Units.
- Customer Engagement & Presentations: Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to internal teams and customers, addressing complex product-related inquiries.
- Drive Sales Growth & Opportunity Management: Identify and develop new sales opportunities, resolve customer challenges, and contribute to achieving volume targets, profitability goals, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) objectives.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Analyze customer requirements and competitor offerings using market insights, and provide recommendations to improve proposal success rates.
- Knowledge Sharing & Risk Management: Share best practices and lessons learned across teams, and support risk review processes in alignment with company policies.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Safety PLC/Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries.
- Experience in handling MAC / Turnkey bids would be an added advantage.
- Experience from engineering and project execution is an advantage.
- Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive.
- Knowledge of ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus will have advantage
- BE /B Tech (Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Instrumentation & Control)
