Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an Internal Communications Manager at ABB Oy, Drives site in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business and management objectives through the development and deployment of engaging and effective internal communications activities in line with global and local communication strategies, standards, and guidelines. Each day, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the internal communication strategy and maintaining the positive image of the company and Drives units and its brand and employee value proposition in the minds of the employees. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring relevant internal communication strategy and plans align with global internal, corporate, and country communications strategies and guidelines.

This role is contributing to the Drives businesses in Helsinki encompassing Drive Products, LV System Drives and LV Drives Service operating in Helsinki, Finland. Main stakeholders are the division management including Division Leaders, HR Business Partners, HSE experts among others.

The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite, with possibility for some hybrid working.

Your responsibilities

• Developing the internal communication strategy and maintaining the positive image of the company and its brand and employee value proposition in the minds of the employees
• Providing guidance to the local management teams and coaching them in leadership communications
• Promoting and enabling collaboration at the site, across divisions, functions, and teams to maximize results for the operations
• Defining quality and delivery targets of assigned activities, monitoring ongoing progress, and resolving issues
• Proposing and selecting relevant communications tools, adapting, translating, and implementing, as required, to support leadership at the site and achieve the company’s objectives in the local divisions
• Evaluating and communicating results upon completion of the activities, communicating outcomes to management and key stakeholders
• Maintaining and encouraging a positive and integrated network in internal communication communities to promote knowledge of current practices and innovation
• Implementing internal communication actions including internal campaigns, news and articles in various digital formats, information bulletins on info screens etc. as well as participating in organizing stakeholder events.
• Collaborating with local marketing communications colleagues to ensure full alignment between local internal and external communication activities.

Your background

• You are highly skilled in performing communications and enjoy working with a variety of touchpoints and communication tools
• You possess enhanced knowledge of NewsBank, Sitefinity, Valotalive, PhotoShop, video production and editing tools and Office 365 applications
• You are passionate about technology and innovation and enjoy collaborating with various experts across the organization
• You have a demonstrated track record in communication roles with 5+ years of experience
• You are at ease communicating in advanced Finnish and at minimum intermediate English
