Key responsibilities

As a Service Sales Support Specialist, you will be the point of contact for customers as well as our sales and service teams regarding maintenance services in drive technology for ABB Motion Services in Germany.

You will support the sales and service functions with your knowledge of the service portfolio, focusing on periodic services, by assisting in the design, pricing, order processing, and response to customer inquiries. Additionally, you will contribute to the further development of service contract and digital offerings, such as innovative condition monitoring solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Sales support in designing customer-oriented and cost-effective service solutions (e.g., service contracts, maintenance, condition monitoring) up to the preparation of offers

  • Advisory and sales support role: capturing customer requirements and needs and translating them into suitable services using your knowledge of the service portfolio (including pricing, service descriptions, and contract components)

  • Strategic planning and updating of customer data (Installed Base), including support for on-site asset data collection as needed

  • Coordination with all relevant functions from sales to field service, scheduling, commercial staff, and service product management regarding the design and successful implementation of services

  • Identifying and leveraging potential for improvement in the design process within the team

Qualifications for the role

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in electric drive technology or similar industries, with a basic understanding of the industrial service business (commercial/technical)

  • Depending on experience, at least a completed vocational training in a technical or commercial field, or a Bachelor's degree in engineering/state-certified technician/master craftsman in electrical engineering, drive technology, or comparable disciplines

  • IT affinity, experience with ERP systems (SAP, Salesforce), and confident use of various task-related IT tools

  • A team-oriented, solution-focused working style with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • An agile and proactive approach, with a proven ability to take ownership of customer issues

  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
