Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement sales support strategy for a designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets and leading, developing, and coaching the Sales Support team.

The work model for the role is: {onsite}

This role is contributing to the {EL-ELDS-DSGCIP: Indoor Products (IDP)} in {Xiamen}. Main stakeholders are {ELDS}.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Provide comprehensive support to the sales team in achieving sales targets of Grid Components with pipeline quality and promotional support towards sales team.
  • Oversee the support provided and proposal preparation by assigning and allocating internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the Grid Components market.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback from customers to communicate with product management team to offer development and service improvements.
  • Develop and execute a targeted support strategy to accelerate the adoption and sales of the iVD4 product and digital solutions
  • Track and report on iVD4 sales performance, forecast, market feedback, and competitive activity to the product management and leadership team.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor or above, majoring in Electrical Engineering or related is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales support, field sales engineering role or a related role.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, or related grid components.​​ Experience with digital/vacuum circuit breakers is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team spirit and good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
