Your role and responsibilities

To further reduce our carbon footprint of distribution cabinets we reassess all material choices, considering both current and anticipated future availability of raw materials.​ Your mission is to assess whether a new material concept meets the strict requirements of our products. This work is interdisciplinary, positioned at the intersection of materials science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering.

• To evaluate a new material concept used in metallic parts of low-voltage cabinets

• Assess if the new material concept is technically feasible for the intended application

Approach

The scope will be tailored to your background to meet the requirements of a degree project.

It may include:​

• Evaluating the thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties of new material concepts using experimental and/or numerical methods
• Actively propose further improvements in materials and/or design
• Assessing the impact on sustainability and total cost of ownership

Your background

• You have a background in materials science, physics, solid mechanics, or electrical engineering
• You are passionate about electrification and sustainability, and you’re eager to learn beyond your current field of study
