Your Role: Own the Challenge

As a Project Engineer for Medium- and Low-Voltage Switchgear, you will take on technical responsibility for complex projects in the field of electrical power distribution. Working closely with internal departments, customers, and suppliers, you will deliver customized, efficient, and reliable solutions from design and planning through to commissioning.

  • Engineering, planning, and design of medium- and low-voltage switchgear as well as electrical installations, including cabling — from technical specification to detailed design, in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Technical project execution throughout all phases: supporting manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities, including coordination of testing, acceptance, and documentation in line with ABB quality standards.

  • Site supervision and site management during project execution, ensuring smooth progress in terms of schedule, quality, occupational safety, and technical compliance.

  • Commissioning and technical support of medium- and low-voltage switchgear and electrical systems, including final handover to the customer — with a strong focus on functionality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

  • Completed education in Electrical Engineering (ideally HTL, FH, or TU) with solid experience in engineering, planning, and design of medium- and low-voltage switchgear as well as electrical installations.

  • Several years of practical experience in on-site project execution, including installation, site supervision, site management, and commissioning.

  • Confident user of CAD systems and advanced PC skills; programming experience is an advantage.

  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.

  • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Cost-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.

  • High commitment, flexibility, and a hands-on mentality in a dynamic project environment.

  • Team-oriented, organized, and willing to travel as required.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 47.600 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
