Your role and responsibilities:

Play a key role in achieving successful technology and product development outcomes by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Leverage specialized technical expertise to guide and oversee critical development tasks.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Applying technical skills to support motor design projects, including creating and modifying solid models (SolidWorks preferred), designing new parts such as castings and fabrications, and learning FEA tools.
• Assisting in improving motor designs and customer satisfaction by analyzing test data, evaluating design changes, and contributing ideas for enhancements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, manufacturing) to resolve design-related issues, authorize material substitutions within limits, and participate actively in design team activities.
• Demonstrating initiative and growth potential with an interest in becoming a technical leader; must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder).

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Preferred Experience Includes: Previous motor engineering, design of motors and VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives), AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
