Finance Specialist – Customer master data Governance

Role at FAO Service Center, Bangalore.

Global Grade 16 reporting to Customer Master Data, Team Lead/ Junior Team Lead.

Provide defined services to the internal customers with best quality in most efficient way.

As a customer master data specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing customer data within the organization's database systems. You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of customer information to support various business functions and processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Data Maintenance: Update and maintain customer data records in the database, including customer contact details, addresses, billing information, Credit Limit etc., and other relevant data as per ABB policy.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular data audits and validations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of customer data. Identify and rectify any data discrepancies or errors.
  • Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures related to customer data laid down by ABB.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate customer data across various systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and synchronization.
  • Data Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and provide insights into customer data metrics, trends, and patterns to support decision-making processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement related to customer data management. Propose and implement solutions to enhance data quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and documentation related to customer data management processes and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure accurate and timely customer data updates and resolve any data-related issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Order to Cash process [O2C], covering Customer Master Data management, Cash application, reconciliation, reporting and accounting.
  • Must be flexible in working for any shift timings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proficiency in using database management tools and systems.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
