This Position reports to:

Sales Manager


Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy within the specified market scope (India Region) and maintain it to improve ABB’s market reach and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your leadership skills by guiding, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to meet the sales targets through effective collaboration.

Division: Process Automation – Measurement & Analytics (Analytical Division)
Region: India

Main Stakeholders: Customers, Service Teams, Sales Specialists, Product Managers

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Anticipating and identifying shortfalls in performance and taking appropriate remedial actions in a timely manner.

  • Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determining plans for implementation, and allocating required resources.

  • Planning and executing customer surveys and acting on the survey results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Participating in the negotiation of key contracts.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in front-end service sales for Analytical products (Gas analyzers, Liquid analyzers, Gas Chromatography).

  • Effective team leader with significant outcomes in service sales across India.

  • Skilled in developing and executing sales strategies for service offerings.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Willingness to travel across India whenever required.

  • Degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Highly skilled in customer relationship management and negotiation.

  • Familiarity with ABB products and solutions in Measurement & Analytics.
